Snoop Dogg Plays Killington – March 31, 2012

While SnowMont may be canceled this year, you can still catch Snoop Dogg at Killington next weekend.

Snoop, who was originally scheduled to play SnowMont, is returning to The Pickle Barrel Nightclub for two shows on Saturday, March 31, 2012. The first show, at 4pm, is 18 and over. The 9pm show is 21 and over. Tickets are only available for purchase over the phone by calling The Pickle Barrel Nightclub at (802) 422-3035.

If you want to try and win tickets, you can visit The Pickle Barrel Nightclub’s Facebook page and enter their contest to win a pair of Snoop Dogg tickets. We’d recommend buying your tickets in advance if you really want to go though as this event always sells out in advance.

Green Mountain National Golf Course Opens Saturday

Want to ski in the morning and golf in the afternoon?

Green Mountain National Golf Course Opens for 2012This Saturday, March 24, 2012, you can do just that as the Green Mountain National Golf Course will be open for the first time this year. For $40, you’ll get 18 holes with the golf cart included.

While we’re sorry to see the ski season come to an end, it’s nice to know that spring is here and summer is coming quickly.

Snowmont Music Festival Canceled

Unfortunately, the first ever Snowmont Music Festival at Killington has been canceled due to “lack of interest.”

The concert would have been a nice addition to Killington’s spring time activities, but we saw problems with it from the beginning. The lineup was heavily electronica influenced, which limited most of the attendees to a younger crowd and did not appeal to a lot of local Vermonters. Also, while the lineup was good, it was not strong enough to make people travel for any great distance to come. Promotion efforts seemed to start late and lag a bit behind as well. In addition, only a 3 day pass was available in the beginning which limited people to an “all or nothing” choice.

Hopefully the concert organizers can regroup and bring back the event next year. We think it would be a good addition to the Killington event calendar.
